When your child starts a psychiatric medication, much of the information their provider needs will come from what happens at home, at school, and during everyday activities.

Is your child sleeping differently? Is school getting easier? Has their appetite changed? Are the symptoms the medication was intended to address actually improving?

Parents and caregivers have a valuable view of these day-to-day changes.

You do not need to medically evaluate your child at home.
